The Power Engineering Technology program at Conestoga College is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program. • Power Plant Operator: They control, operate, or maintain machinery to generate electric power.
• Boiler Operator: They operate or maintain stationary engines, boilers, or other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings or industrial processes.
• Refrigeration Engineer: They operate or maintain refrigeration systems.
• Research and Development: They work on innovating, developing, and enhancing products and procedures to improve technological capabilities in the field of power engineering.
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older
- Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1251)
- Grade 12 Mathematics, C or U, or equivalent OR Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics for Trades (MATH1420)
Applicants possessing degrees/diplomas from institutions where the language of instruction was not English will be required to provide test scores as evidence of their English language proficiency.
