The IT Innovation and Design (Optional Co-op) program at Conestoga College is a full-time, three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program. This program is designed to meet the growing demand for IT professionals with skills in graphic design, content creation, User Experience (UX), software development, marketing, and business models. The program prepares students to design and market new and competitive software applications. It includes an optional co-op stream with four consecutive four-month work terms.
Career Opportunities:
The program prepares students for a variety of roles in the IT industry, including but not limited to:
- Software Developer: They create, test and develop software and applications.
- UX Designer: They are responsible for enhancing user satisfaction with a product by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction with the product.
- IT Consultant: They work in partnership with clients, advising them how to use information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems.
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older with mature student status.
- Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1251).
- Grade 12 Mathematics, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics (MATH1375).
The minimum grade required for the following courses are:
- MCT4C: 60%
- MAP4C: 60%
- MHF4U, MCV4U: 50%
- MDM4U: 50%
- MATH1375: 60%
The estimated tuition and fee details for the IT Innovation and Design program at Conestoga College for the 2024-2025 academic year are as follows:
Canadian students- CAD$ 4,000
International students- CAD$ 17,000
